The great diaper debate

Well, from what I've read online choosing a diapering method (cloth or disposable)  is a personal decision that should not be taken into lightly.  There are an unbelievable amount of terms and stats out there .. enough to make my head spin.  So my goal this week is to put together  a comparison chart showing the cost and time involved with each option.  Hopefully, afterward I can come to a decision .. cloth, disposable, both?

There are tons of cost comparison sheets out there that you can use to research. Here are just a couple, of many, to get you started:

Thanks! I really like how the Cloth Diaper Superstore lays out the numbers.

Michelle made the diapers we use, we wash them at home, and dry them on a rack whenever possible. I have no doubt we're saving lots of money (we use disposables overnight and on some trips, so I do have to say that Costco's Kirkland diapers are the best on the cost to effectiveness ratio).

Did Michelle use a commercial pattern to make the cloth diapers or did she design them herself? What a neat idea!

I was wondering about the diapers I saw at Costco. We'll have to check them out.
